Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi Oi Oi!
I was reading the live feeds from the web, and it was still nailbiting right to the end….as you would expect for a penalty shoot out as it turned out. Well I think the win is good payback and well deserved for the socceroos who have come close a couple of times.
Being in Europe at the time and right next door to Germany, I might add, is an excellent opportunity to go see our home country in action. We just may do it!

Cakes in France…..well a whole other story, everyday is a battle not to supplement each meal with superb patisseries. Take the little beauty above, the shortcrust pastry was enough to make an adequate vessel without interfering with the taste of its contents. The small amount of delicate custard was not battling for centre stage, happy to compliment those gorgeous figs who were glazed but not drowned in syrup. It was a piece of heaven which was not at all expensive and easy to come by at the ubiquitous Paul

Happy Birthday Mum
Wish we were there to celebrate with you, to the Hills (Red) we would all head with Robyn and Dave. Enjoy your celebrations with them….yes celebrate you are 62 years young! I’m so proud of you. And as usual still laughing at the thought of our last conversation. How is Ardunna? Jim always knows when I’m on the phone to you, its when I laugh loudest.
